If you’re tired of boring warm-ups and need to add some “diesel” back into your workouts, I have something pretty special for you today.  I told Brad I wanted him to put me through his simple barbell warm-up and I would follow along.  After we did it a few times, I knew we were onto something cool.  I loved the idea that someone else was flowing the warm-up and it allowed me to focus fully on what I was doing.  We used a simple PVC pipe with endcaps as the barbell until we felt we were ready to progress to an actual barbell.

The flow included:

– PVC squats

– PVC overhead squats

– PVC bent over rows

– PVC good mornings

– PVC lunges

– and some unique shoulder mobility work.

Joe DeFranco and I are putting on the 1st AMPED Warm-up seminar series in NJ in June!  June 26th to be exact and if you want in, you’ll have to hurry.  We only have 20 spots open and then we’re closing registration.

    I have been doing trunk twists with a PVC bar as part of my warm-up, but never considered these other movements. Many thanks, and can’t wait to give it a try. It only takes 3 min.
