Stop focusing on everything you DON’T have. That negativity will consume you. It will run you down and put you in a cloud.
Start thinking about everything you DO have.
How about waking up in the morning?
Another beautiful day where you have a chance to breath, be with your kids, spend time with your family, hit a workout, be with your friends, give to others?
Because no matter how bad you think you have it, there is always someone who has it worse.
Someone who hasn’t been shown kindness for a long time. Someone who will try real hard and do something amazing…if they were just given a chance.
The most powerful thing you can do for someone is to believe in them and tell them that they are important.
Give to others when no one is looking and it will come back to you 10 fold.

Hey Smitty, what ever happened to the Diesel Strength Challenges? Are you going to get back to them or are you done with them? Why does the last one still say: Winner: TBD???

Reminds me of something Jesus said:
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, DO GOOD TO THEM THAT HATE YOU, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
I enjoyed that clip. When my boys or the neighbor kids are having a poor attitude I always remind them that there are children that don’t have food to eat, and go to sleep without a bed. I tell them you have all the food you want and a nice bed to sleep in so you better be happy because you never know when it will all disappear.
Also, when a person complains about the weather I often respond with, “I woke up this morning. So today is a good day.”
When you slow down and look around you it is easy to see the beauty in a pile of crap! A person may see a stinky mess, but I see fertilizer.
Some people do not like babies crying, but I am happy they are healthy enough to throw a fit.
Smile because you can! Even though you may be a hardcore lifter and a beast in the weightroom doesn’t mean you need to be a hard ass outside.
“Because it looks like no has given them anything in a long time.” So sad but so true. the harsh acts of some kids are usually caused by the harsh acts or lack of love and care in the home. great clip!

I love it when people bring up the message of the Gospel in everyday life and may not even know it. I am sure you do, but I love the way a 2000 year old message didnt just happen, but it happens, all the time. There is a life we were intended to live and it will be available to us some day, but God Blesses us with glimpses of Heaven from time to time and I hope it motivates you to take the Gospel to heart not knowing your situation in the least from the heart, but I get glimpses of it from time to time. There are truth AND lies available to you every day and its why I train guys that can’t afford a trainer but I tell them up front I will teach them The Truth as we train and we will train hard because of that reason. Truth is everywhere, God has given us a way to reveal it through his son! Thanks Smitty for all you do and hope to meet you live one of these days! Keep on training hard ! Keep up the great work, it shows that you really care.
