The Speed of Life

The Speed of Life

I just got a text from my buddy and he asked me this question.

“How do you feel?”

I paused for a moment before answering because I knew why he was asking.  In the last 6 months or so, I have been running at a furious pace.

I’ve been working on articles for Muscle & Fitness, Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness.

I’ve also been working on more big articles for the site:

7 Ways to Crush Your Workout

Pressing Considerations for Older Lifters

Overcome

You Don’t Want it Bad Enough

and many others…

I’ve been trying to finish up the new HardCORE DVD with Joe D, which has turned out to be a HUGE project. We put together an 80 page manual, created the DVD with over 260 exercises geared toward getting awesome at everything related to core strength.  And we are finally in the last stages of post-production and it is taking up most of my time.

Finally, I’ve been spending more time with my family -and loving every second.

And, I’m not going to lie – sometimes I get tired of it all.

I mean, I get run down, you know?

But here is the trick.

The biggest secret of all.

When I feel down, and I feel like this is enough or like I can’t do this anymore…

That feeling only lasts a second!

It lingers in my mind for a brief moment and then it is gone. I force it out and drive ahead.

I WILL NOT LET THOSE FEELING STAY in my mind and cloud my vision,  I will not let them prevent me from dominating in everything I want to do and keep me from reaching everything I ever wanted in life.

I offer this opportunity for you.

Do not dwell on the bad.  Do not keep negativity in your life. Do not crawl up in a ball and stop moving.

LIVE YOUR LIFE.

MAKE EVERY SECOND COUNT.

BE A-FREAKING-MAZING!

You can do it. I know you can.

I passed someone by the other day and asked how their day was going and they said:

“Ah, you know, waiting for the days to go by.”

WHAT?!

The first thing I thought was, that is SO SAD.

This person will NEVER know what it feels like to accomplish something great. To have that feeling like they could do anything. I felt like if that was me, I would feel despair everyday.  Like there is no hope.

Do NOT let this happen to you. Do NOT let doubt stay in your mind and affect your momentum.

If someone asks me how I’m feeling, I tell them “amazing”, or I say “awesome.”  I will not feed negativity in their lives.  I will only give them the positive.  Because this might be enough to turn their day around.

Yes, you will have doubts.

Yes, you will be scared.

Yes, there will be many obstacles.

But knowing that everything will not be perfect means there won’t be any surprises.  When you are presented with an obstacle, step up.

Stay humble.

Stay hungry.

Stay grateful.

Remember…

Someone else is happy with less than you have.

Rage,
Smitty

“I will not feed negativity in their lives.” Very powerful for me. I was reading Nate Green’s work the other day about being a hero. It’s people like you and articles like these that really pump me up and help me become that hero!!
