Big Surprise Announcement – Your Chance to Win AMPED

Big Surprise Announcement

Your Chance to Win AMPED

I am traveling down to NJ to film a new product with Joe DeFranco this weekend.

This could mean two things:

1.  Joe and I are producing another sick DVD set, or

2.  Joe and I are doing some home movies

Either way, we’re having fun.

After the amazing success of AMPED and all of the great feedback, we knew we had to work together again.

Truth be told, we work really well together.  There is a cool vibe and the back-and-forth collaboration is real easy.

Your Chance to Win

Here is the cool part.

Whoever (or whomever whichever is right?) guesses what the new product is about, what the focus is, will have a chance to win a FREE premium edition of AMPED.  We practically give it away now, because in my opinion, it is worth 10x what we charge (especially with all of the mistakes I made starting out).

What I’ll do is randomly pick 2 people from those who guessed right in the comments (I’ll film myself doing it) and they’ll win!

I think this is a fun way to get some buzz going about the new product and give back to you guys.

But here’s the deal…

The contest is OFF, unless we get 100 comments.   We have to get at least 100 comments on this post WITH YOUR GUESS for the giveaway to happen.  Everyone only gets 1 guess too.

Also BE SPECIFIC!

Be a beast and get your guess in now.

I look forward to seeing your comments!

Smitty

I am going to go with a conditioning manual!

  3. Posted by - Steve on June 3, 2011

I’m guessing that it’s a course on how to improve your conditioning and/or speed?

Good luck with the filming and travel safe!

  4. Posted by - Yves on June 3, 2011

    Hi smitty

Is it a product about dynamic movements and or sprinting?

  5. Posted by - Frederik on June 3, 2011

I will guess something to do with Conditioning and Explosiveness for athletes.

  6. Posted by - Robert on June 3, 2011

I am going to go with a football strength training/conditioning program.

  7. Posted by - Phil Marsden on June 3, 2011

Great news Smitty I am going to go with a DVD about improving speed.

Whatever it is goodluck I am sure it will kick ass!

  8. Posted by - Manu on June 3, 2011

I’m going to go with a conditioning course.

Have a great time working with Joe.
    Diesel Crew rocks!

  9. Posted by - TL on June 3, 2011

I’m going with offseason prep for football. Just a vibe I’m getting . . .

  10. Posted by - Isaac on June 3, 2011

    Smitty,

It’s been tooooooo long brother!!!! I will guess you are creating something like an AMPED REVAMPED to help promote your guy’s up comeing seminar series on the 26th? You know stuff to go along with the new stuff you are going to teach and share with it!

  11. Posted by - Bill on June 3, 2011

    Hi Jimmy,

I’m hoping it’s about building speed with strength. Can never have too much of that !

Enjoy a Good One Jim and it always Rocks when Joe DeFranco involved!!

    Bill

  12. Posted by - Lennart on June 3, 2011

I guess it is about how to become a efficient athlete with easy, homemade equipment.

  13. Posted by - Arlene on June 3, 2011

    Hi Smitty,

Good luck with the DVD. I know working with Joe will be fantastic.

I’m going with strongman exercises coupled with conditioning.

    🙂

  14. Posted by - rick on June 3, 2011

I bet you guys are working a strength workout.

  15. Posted by - David C on June 3, 2011

I guess its gonna be a speed/strength series with a new, high speed warm up protocol

  16. Posted by - Eric on June 3, 2011

I am going to say it is about sport specific conditioning!

  17. Posted by - STU Knowling on June 3, 2011

I reckon it’s gonna be about hip mobility and how to get the bodies joints loose as a babies! Hope so, ’cause that’s what I need!

  18. Posted by - Hector on June 3, 2011

Think its a off season conditioning exercises/drills for multiple sports.

    Good luck with the DVD.

  19. Posted by - Robert on June 3, 2011

My guess is that is about prehab/rehab of some body parts.

  20. Posted by - Ryan on June 3, 2011

I think you are making a new program on underground type lifting, like with stones, barbells, dumbells, kettlebells, bodyweight etc.

  21. Posted by - Daniel on June 3, 2011

    Speed training and acceleration mechanics.

  22. Posted by - Ethan lee on June 3, 2011

Hey Smitty it’s me Ethan! I don’t know if you remember me. I almost won Amd on your webinar but lost right at the end! Haha umm I think it will be a Video on injury rehab. That’s my guess after you released the back rehab video series.

  23. Posted by - James TwoTiger on June 3, 2011

    Smitty,
Have a safe trip to NJ.
My guess is speed and/or explosive strength and power.
I’m guessing this cuz 1. Football season is on it’s way (come on people sign with me “We Love 2 a Days” 2. The Diesel Crew has not hit on the subject in a true Smitty ‘over-abundance, this is the way it needs to be done’ way.
If it’s not Speed, then whatever comes out if NJ is goin to be kick-ass and very useful.

  24. Posted by - Brian on June 3, 2011

I think it will have something to do with training to increase speed and power.

  25. Posted by - Kevin on June 3, 2011

I would guess that it is about injury prevention.

  26. Posted by - Steph on June 3, 2011

Using the context clues, I am also going to say it may be football related, conditioning and training for it hopefully using unique equipment.

  27. Posted by - Steve on June 3, 2011

You are doing a follow up to the Amped Series or the Amped Seminar Series

  28. Posted by - Michael on June 3, 2011

I would love to win amped. I still use the free amped demo you did on youtube on a regular basis (shawn phillips amped warm-up).

OK, enough talk, my guess is Rehad/injury prevention. And if it is not this then I hope someday it will be. I would like to rehab my knee.

    Have fun in Jersey!

  29. Posted by - Jason on June 3, 2011

    Quickness and Explosiveness

  30. Posted by - Sue on June 3, 2011

I think it’ll be about joint rehab (focusing on spine/back & hips) and strengthening exercises to get back to 100%.

Looking forward to whatever it is…

  31. Posted by - colt on June 3, 2011

    speed training

  32. Posted by - Eric on June 3, 2011

I think it will be a dvd about building speed and acceleration.

Whatever it is I’m sure it will be awesome!

  33. Posted by - John on June 3, 2011

I’ll go with prehab/rehab for athletes

  34. Posted by - JasonD on June 3, 2011

Hey smitty. Awesome news that you’re coming out with something new…your stuff is the sh*t!! i’m going with injury prevention/rehab. Specifically, i think your putting together a techniques manual to help lessen chance of injury and also what to do if you get injured. this is a guess AND wishful thinking. Already putting your back rehab protocols into effect because of a low back injury on squatting…so i’m hoping you come out with a full, detailed manual…i’m first in line to buy, if so.

  35. Posted by - will on June 3, 2011

I think it is going to be a product that focuses more on prehab and injury prevention, along with specific methods of training both anaerobic and aerobic systems.

If I am wrong, maybe that could be an idea for future consideration.

  36. Posted by - Graham on June 3, 2011

    Sled pushing/pulling variations

  37. Posted by - Matthew on June 3, 2011

Update to AMP with more home workouts?

  38. Posted by - Karl on June 3, 2011

I’m gonna guess it’s something along the lines of building/improving speed too

  39. Posted by - Josh on June 3, 2011

Being that you are partnering up with Joe, my only guess is that it has something to do with conditioning for athletes, also possibly involving some type of speed/ improved athleticism training.

  40. Posted by - Vicente on June 3, 2011

I would say… you two are going to the hairdresser’s to film a hidden camera sketch!!
Just kidding, I have the same haircut myself 🙂
    Take care!
    Vicente

  41. Posted by - Karl K. on June 3, 2011

I’m going to guess a comprehensive speed and agility DVD that will clear up myths, misconceptions, and the general fogginess of this aspect of training.

  42. Posted by - Dan on June 3, 2011

A follow up to Amped. The next step in your training. How to maximize the benefits of Amped in becoming faster and more athletic.

  43. Posted by - Deborah on June 3, 2011

I’d say judging by the items in the photo that it’s a sled dragging/pulling program.

  44. Posted by - Clint Johnson on June 3, 2011

My guess would have to say explosive power/speed for football.
My question, though: being from PA, with the Penguins and Flyers, when are going to do some hockey-specific programming?
Cheers either way! Love your work and the cut of your job!

  45. Posted by - Jimmy Lamour on June 3, 2011

I am going with developing “Super” Speed. Thanks.

  46. Posted by - Paul on June 3, 2011

    Excellent stuff!

AMPED Speed and Conditioning is my guess! 🙂

  47. Posted by - Clay Criswell on June 3, 2011

    Whats up,

I believe that its a super intense strength and conditioning workout set full of workouts like NFL players use, like Ray Lewis, Peyton Hillis, and other players use.

    God Bless

    Clay

  48. Posted by - Andreas Mildner on June 3, 2011

I think you will film some rehab stuff.

  49. Posted by - Tim on June 3, 2011

Good to hear even more new stuff is coming out. I use your work outs and tips everyday I am at the gym.

    Thanks
    Tim

Speed, power, and conditioning for athletes!

    Whatever it is I’m stoked!

  51. Posted by - Mathias Kovacev on June 3, 2011

Ok even if I am pretty sure thats not what you guys are going to do, but I would love the idea to see you two wearing tight tights doing some flexibility stuff….. :-)))

  52. Posted by - David on June 3, 2011

    Speed Development DVD

  53. Posted by - Matt Cooper on June 3, 2011

I’m guessing injury rehabilitation and prevention.

  54. Posted by - adam willis on June 3, 2011

I’m going to guess you are doing a new dvd for speed and plyometrics.
Whether I’m right or wrong what ever it is will be awesome

  55. Posted by - VB on June 3, 2011

Joe and YOU are producing another sick DVD set

  56. Posted by - Paul on June 3, 2011

I would say strength and conditioning for strongman workouts.

  57. Posted by - Nick Blackburn on June 3, 2011

    Yeah dude, something on conditioning

  58. Posted by - Reed on June 3, 2011

    SPEED!!!

  59. Posted by - marshall on June 3, 2011

Excited to hear about the new product. My guess is that it is a definitive prehab/rehab program. I sure hope that is what it is as I’ve been following the back rehab program closely and it is great.

  60. Posted by - Mike on June 3, 2011

I’m going with a conditioning and hybird strength training program.

  61. Posted by - Kasey on June 3, 2011

I too am going to say it’s a focused conditioning manual!

  62. Posted by - JenS on June 3, 2011

    I’m nthing explosive power/speed.

Speed Training for Athletes who don’t just run in straight lines.

  64. Posted by - Jo Butler on June 3, 2011

I think you’ll be doing some rehab stuff. Whatever it is though, I’m sure it will be great as usual
    Jo

  65. Posted by - Dan on June 3, 2011

I’m guessing it has to do with sport specific off-season conditioning and strength gains.

  66. Posted by - Drew on June 3, 2011

    My guess is dumbbell/barbell complexes.

  67. Posted by - Leon john on June 3, 2011

i am guessing you guys re doing a speed and conditioning dvd and eBook which helps you blast your to explosive power and very good conditioning program designed to give you explosive speed and conditioning.

  68. Posted by - Jesse on June 3, 2011

With your recent back rehab program I’m guessing:

“Bullet Proof Your Back for Superior All Around Strength”

    OK two guesses

    “Real Strength Training for Athletes”

  69. Posted by - stefan on June 3, 2011

my guess is a explosive strength and running speed dvd

  70. Posted by - Mike on June 3, 2011

Hey Smitty I think it will be along the lines of power development for athletes. There will be speed component to it too! Am I right?

  71. Posted by - Chris on June 3, 2011

I training manual on how to train college football players in preparation for the NFL combine.

Hip mobility and strength for explosiveness and power!

  77. Posted by - Jini on June 3, 2011

Not wanting to second guess myself, I did not read the other comments although I’m sure plenty of people have guessed this…

I think that the back rehab series was so outstanding, and the comments you received about it, so overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic, that I’m guessing you’ve made the back rehab project your next product your next product. That’s MY guess.

And THAT will be worth 10X whatever you charge for it.

    J 🙂

  78. Posted by - Carlos Jesena on June 4, 2011

Since you’ve done the warmup, I have a feeling this is gonna be Conditioning or Speed&Power!

  79. Posted by - Philip on June 4, 2011

  80. Posted by - john on June 4, 2011

I specifically stated that each person gets one vote each to be fair. That is why all of your other posts were removed.

    Keep cranking out the madness!!!!

    Speed training and conditioning

  82. Posted by - Paul K. on June 4, 2011

im gonna say youll be doing some (1)sport specific conditioning for athletes, may it be for off season or during the season. (2)Probably will have some big emphasize on bracing the core while executing dynamic/strength/speed building exercises…wow that covers a lot!

  83. Posted by - Anders Gatti on June 4, 2011

I think your planing a trip to me (In sweden) so you can teach and start help me start a training-revolutuion here too;-)

    Best regards

  86. Posted by - Gregory Jimenez on June 4, 2011

Product i would like to see -“Innovative Never Before Seen Strength and Speed Movements To Build the Ultimate Human”. Think you guys are kinda already taking care of that.
Hopefully its something no one has thought off.
there must still be ideas/concepts no one has thought off?
I want to think of them.
I have learned alot from Diesels and Defranco.Sure there is still much to learn..

  87. Posted by - Mateusz on June 4, 2011

I bet it’ll be about badass conditioning for sports.

  88. Posted by - David Frost on June 4, 2011

If the picture is a clue, I would guess an “Explosive Strength and Conditioning” program.

  89. Posted by - Justin on June 4, 2011

Going on the stream of (quite fantastic, I must say) rehab videos, I’m guessing you are putting together a rehab program. Maybe the thing is split between different types of injury, and then different body parts. Then common injuries and ways to prevent them in the future through mobility drills.

I’m guessing there’d be a market for that sort of thing.

    Even close?

    Justin.

  90. Posted by - john on June 4, 2011

    Site Admin,

Whoops, sorry for overlooking that minor detail. My bad.

  91. Posted by - James McDonnell on June 4, 2011

My guess is that it is about building explosive power.

  92. Posted by - Ondrej on June 4, 2011

    Hello

My guess is Speed development DVD. You gonna capture how to develop speed for all athletes.

    Ondrej

  93. Posted by - Jason C. on June 4, 2011

There’s no doubt that this will be another ground breaking product. I will guess that it will be more of a comprehensive speed training dvd that will provide detailed information on strength training, mobility, and rehabilitation in their relation to explosive multi-directional speed development. If not, you both need to get on that ASAP! lol

Thanks for another great product in development though.

  94. Posted by - marc on June 4, 2011

hey Smitty! i think it will be a program with the focus on bodywieght.

  95. Posted by - diego on June 4, 2011

cmon smitty hook a brother up! wAna get my hands on that since

  97. Posted by - JLC on June 4, 2011

I really hope its not some crazzzy homemade pr0n…

I gonna guess correct form & technique exclusive

    rage against the dying light

  98. Posted by - Mike on June 4, 2011

I think the program will discuss your approach to prevent and train the lower back from injury, specifically outlining your preventative approach as well as how to progress from different phases to the next regarding exercise selection

  99. Posted by - Matt Mar on June 4, 2011

It is a video/program about warm up exercises & dynamic stretching for different areas of the body in preparation for your workout or athletic competition.

  100. Posted by - Tom Puglisi on June 4, 2011

Well this is interesting. You’ve been doing a lot of stuff with rehab lately, and Joe seems to be putting out a lot of videos about explosive training for football players, so I’m thinking something about rehabbing during the off-season using some insane tactics.

  101. Posted by - Ondrej Basus on June 5, 2011

    Hello

My guess is or at least I hope you gonna make Speed development DVD. As long as my squat is nearer and nearer to 3x BW, I am becooming slower and slower in all other sports, and some unique techniques to develop speed is something I am looking for now. So I hope You gonna capture on camera how to develop speed for all athletes, not only for sprinting, but jumps, medi throwing, interval sprinting, etc. will be there.

  102. Posted by - Strahinja on June 5, 2011

This is gonna be gold mine!
Thanks for helping us get better every day!

  103. Posted by - Sarah-Hope on June 5, 2011

I think something about speed – the vomit-inducing hardout type of workout!!! Good luck and have fun – looking forward to the results – would you mind posting it out to New Zealand??

  104. Posted by - Nick on June 5, 2011

A program specific to strongman training

  105. Posted by - Brad on June 5, 2011

The program will be about off-season conditioning for football players

  106. Posted by - Mike on June 5, 2011

I think the product will focus on preventing and training the lower back from injury and developing performance enhancement through specific and progressive strength and conditioning based training

  107. Posted by - Chris on June 5, 2011

Smitty I’m going to go with Explosive Strength and Conditioning

  108. Posted by - Adam L on June 5, 2011

i think it will be a home movie of you two reciting your favorite lines from step brothers?

  112. Posted by - Nelli96 on June 6, 2011

Video looks great. I have to imagine that the new video will be about lower body explosion…as the video teaser had a lot of hip explosion.

  113. Posted by - Coach Statom on June 6, 2011

My guess is something to do with power and speed development. Love your posts by the way! I show your videos to my football players all the time, we’re big fans.

  114. Posted by - Ondrej on June 6, 2011

    hello

  115. Posted by - DROC on June 6, 2011

Great to see two of the best guys in the business working together again. Can’t wait to see what you’re going to come up with.

My guess, the DVD is going to be about power development and power endurance. The proper way to perform and use plyometrics, sprints, etc to develop awesome power over and over again.

    Darragh

  116. Posted by - Cody on June 6, 2011

looks like lower body explosive training and power development using plyometrics for football players

  120. Posted by - Matibu on June 7, 2011

Cant wait to see the new dvd.
Id guess is somewhere between speed development o explosive power development, either way its going to be great.

  124. Posted by - Josh Serrano on July 15, 2011

I’m guessing it’s something to do with building power and strength

  125. Posted by - nate on March 1, 2012

how about a detailed warmup video on how to properly warm up in the weight room for specific day…upper/lower, push/pull, rotation/anti rotation, power, strength, endurance, flexibilty, mobility….i would love to see a DVD covering that

just realized how old this was…guess i’m a bit late

  126. Posted by - chris k. on August 15, 2013

I might be going out on a limb here, but I’m guessing it has something to do with moving heavy things to get jacked, and maybe a small tutorial on how to fight off drooling lady zombies at the beach. 😉
